Background

Lisa joined the firm in 1989 and has over 21 years of experience in defined contribution plan consulting and administration. Based on her expertise in Defined Contribution Plan operation and motivation to positively impact the business operations of Markley Actuarial, Lisa became a Partner in 2004. Lisa began her career with Educators Mutual Life Insurance Company.

Areas of Specialty

• As President of the Firm, Lisa serves on our Leadership/Management Team to ensure that our organization structure, Key Performance Measures and initiatives are consistent with our Strategic Plan
• Leads our organization to achieve our vision
• Coordinates and monitors the Firm's Strategic Plan, corporate calendar, financial management, personnel policies, and long-term strategic plan
• Services medium and large employers sponsoring defined contribution plans such as age- and/or service-weighted plans, Safe Harbor 401(k) Plans, 403(b) Plans, Non-Qualified Plans and other specialty retirement programs
• Serves as Consultant by providing a wide range of consulting and compliance testing services to daily valued defined contribution plans for medium to large plans, including utilizing IRS correction programs to resolve significant plan issues
• Leads sales and marketing efforts, including continuous development of our relationships with other service providers with whom our clients engage regarding their retirement program

Education

• B. A. degree in Mathematics from Shippensburg University
